Maracana Tour

Passing by the Sambodromo, the stadium where the Carnival Competitions are held, we arrive quickly at the Maracana Stadium. Its official name is Journalist Mario Filho. Probably the world's most famous football stadium, Maracana is able to hold 78,838 spectators. Going to the Maracana is an unforgettable experience, even if there is no game going on. Just to sit on the tribunes and breath the air, makes you easily imagine the ambiance there is during the games.

The Maracanã sports complex, which occupies a total área of 304,284m², includes Maracanãzinho, where competitions and shows take place, Stadium Célio de Barros and Water Park Júlio Delamare (Parque Aquático Júlio Delamare).

The inside visit takes around one hour and you get to know the main spaces: the Dressing Rooms, the Training Field, the Main Soccer Field, the Fame Hall and Sidewalk, besides having the panoramic view from the Special Chairs. A sound equipment gives you the impression that you are in a full stadium, with everybody screaming!
